Dr. Harshith Joseph

Senior Fellow, Translation Studies

Dr. Harshith Joseph holds a PhD in English literature from Tumkur University. He has served as Assistant Professor in institutions including Jain University, Bengaluru and St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru. He was a Research Fellow at Aarohi Research Foundation, Bengaluru and later became a Fellow at India Studies Unit, Centre for Educational and Social Studies (CESS), Bengaluru. He then served as Assistant Professor at the Centre for Study of Cultures, Chanakya University, Bengaluru. He was also a Co-Principal Investigator to a Translation Project from Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. His work specializes in characterizing the nature of translation problems. His work extends into analyzing the impact of Christian missionary intervention on Kannada language through translation of Christian literatures.
Dr. Harshith is also an Assistant Professor in The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), Bengaluru.
