Utkarsha Deshpande

Research Fellow

Utkarsha Deshpande has a diverse educational background with an M.A. in Sanskrit from Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, an LL.B., and a B.Com. from Mumbai University. She has worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, Chanakya University, on projects related to Dharmaśāstra and Arthaśāstra. Previously, she has worked as an Associate Editor at the Chinmaya International Foundation and has undertaken internships in legal research, Indian Knowledge Systems, and translation. Her research interests include Indian legal traditions, comparative jurisprudence, legal cultures, Dharmashastra and Nyāya. Currently, she is a project fellow at the Foundation for Study of Indian Culture and is interested in pursuing research.
